Catch every hair in its growth phase.
Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle and converts to heat, disabling the follicle's ability to regrow hair. Because hair grows in cycles, only follicles in the active growth (anagen) phase respond — which is why a series of sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart, is what delivers permanent reduction.
Anagen — Growth
The follicle is active and full of pigment. This is the only phase the laser can target, so each session catches the hairs currently growing.
Catagen — Transition
The follicle shrinks and detaches. Hairs here aren't ideal targets, so some are simply caught at your next visit.
Telogen — Resting
The follicle is dormant. Spacing sessions 6–8 weeks apart lets resting follicles cycle back into growth to be treated.

Who is a good candidate?
Almost anyone wanting to reduce unwanted hair on the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest or bikini line. Thanks to its dual wavelengths, the GentleMax Pro works on all hair colors and all skin types — including tanned and darker skin that older lasers couldn't safely treat.
How many sessions will I need?
Because hair grows in cycles, permanent reduction takes a series — typically 8 to 16 sessions spaced about 6–8 weeks apart so we catch each follicle in its growth phase. The hair that returns gets finer and lighter after each visit.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as a quick rubber-band snap, eased by the laser's built-in cooling spray. A topical numbing cream can be applied to sensitive areas, and we finish with a cool compress.
Is there downtime?
None. Your skin may look slightly red or feel like a mild sunburn for a few hours. You can return to normal activities right away — just avoid direct sun on the area and use gentle cleansers while it settles.
How long does a session take?
Anywhere from a few minutes for a small area like the upper lip to about an hour for full body, depending on what's being treated.
